The aim of SUPW is to provide children with op¬portunities of participating in social and economic activities inside and out¬side the class room, enabling them to understand scientific principles and processes involved in different types of work and in the setting in which they are found in the physical and social environment.
Through SUPW activities, the students are enabled to practice and perform manual work individually and collectively. They are also acquainted with the world of work and services to the community. Children enthusiastically participate in these productive activities and develop an attitude of team work and socially desirable values like self-reliance, dignity of labor, tolerance, co-operation, sympathy and helpfulness.
